Just to share, I've been building this machine for nearly two years.

It started as an EVGA 680i
Pentium D 925 (upgrade to Core 2 quad Q6700 OC'd)
2 GB DDR 800 (upgraded to 8 GB DDR 800)
Nvidia 8600 GTS (upgraded to 2x 9600 GT SLI'd)
500 GB w/16MB (upgraded to 2 x 500 w/32 MB/ea RAID 0)
^ The drives came in yesterday. I'll install them this weekend.
X-Fi Music
(various other stuff like DVD-DL, TV tuner, etc.)

I also went from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate 64 bit and have Windows 7 on pre-order.

I fold two GPU clients and two "not fred's" which yield about 8 k ppd (if I could run it 24/7).

If you don't fold or crunch for a team, consider folding for team 32 (overclockers.com) It's for a great cause and is surprisingly fun. PM me for details.

Just sharing with folks who know and perhaps will appreciate it. If I try to tell my mom she'd just get glassy eyed while nodding her head politely.
