Low Power 1.5TB drives $110 (samsung and seagate)

There are currently two different deals on 1.5TB drives

the seagate runs at 5900rpm and the samsung at 5400 rpm and both are sufficient for blu ray rip playback

Hard drives are getting SO cheap now...

meh... i dunno bout seagate much anymore. after the .11 fiasco and my recent 2x 250gb 7200.10 crash... i am beginning to distrust them.

and this whole low power hd thing... cmon serious maybe a watt or two... at the sacrafice for spindle speed... no thnx.


THAT SAID... good price / gb ratio.

... and it happens not long after I spend $90 to ship a single 1TB hard drive. If I waited a couple weeks I could have gotten extra 500MB for less than the cost of a full gas tank for my car.

Oops... I'm still not used to dealing with TB's and so I'm still stuck in GB/MB mode.

Gotta start getting used to TB/GB this year.
