Hi. My fsb freq is locked between 400-800 mhz, with 400 being minimum and 800 max:S This happened as I was doing some minor oc'ing (I am very new to this). I was testing some frequencies around 350 mhz, when suddenly, after a reboot, it jumped to 400mhz. Now I can't get it back. I have to add, that this is the third time I encounter the 'fsb-lock' problem, but this is the only time it hasn't fixed itself after 3-4 reboots. I have tried both the "load fail-safe defaults" BIOS option and the "load optimized defaults" option, but none of them work. My cpu has, evidently, his mind set on 400 mhz.

My specs:
MSI P45 Neo motherboard, with american megatrends BIOS V1.5
Intel Q8200 @2,33 ghz, currently running at 2,8 ghz :)S:S)
4 gb pc2-6400 (800mhz) 5-5-5-18

edit: Incase you don't know what resetting CMOS ment, (Try taking out the battery on your mobo and clearing the BIOS ram)

That is truly bizarre.
You might check for bios updates in case it's a bug that has been fixed.

lol. If it runs at 400, it doesn't sound like that much of an issue :p

I'd love a chip that could do 800fsb before quad pumping it.. FSB3200!
