Antec 900 support bracket for long GPU's

hi all,

im gonna need to use the support bracket that came with my 900 - to install a 10" GPU! only problem is that there is no instructions on where to put it! have any of you installed it?

im worrying about my gtx285 with a full cover block on it - its like having 1Kg hanging off it! i dont want to bend it!

thanks

I have the 260 with a full block and I don't have any problems with the weight. But if you could put some pics on here it may help.

Are you using tool-less clips to hold on to PCI slot or screws, as you would be better to srew it in place

This is too similar to your other thread....

Anyway, I didnt need it with my cards. There is a little sag on it, but really, no need. I ran that length card (see sig) for years now with no issues.

Are you sure you're not referring to the optional 120mm fan bracket?

not the fan bracket - you slot the end corner of the gpu into this bracket and attach it somewhere - it doesnt say where!

You do not need that. The PCIe slot itself plus the dual screws in the double slot back plate will be more than enough to support the weight of the card.
