Earlier this week yahoo seems to have changed something in it's mail program that kills it in ubuntu/firefox. Via windows it still works, via linux the formatting is trashed and i can't view messages.
Has anyone else on here run into this?

I ran into it with yahoo messenger stopped working.
This is what I did to fix it but not sure if it will work for you or not but you can give it a shot.
Go to the terminal and type this:

sudo apt-get update

enter your password

then sudo apt-get upgrade

enter your password

Yes all enter!!

Aight, i'll give it a shot. Thanks!

Mmmph, no upgrades installed, none required, etc.
Was totally worth a shot though.

Heh so i fixed it. Turns out that the agonizingly slow and suspecious mail.yimg.com is needed for yahoo mail to function.
I routed it to 127.0.0.1 in hosts because i don't like that when you leave yahoo mail by bookmark (or any other means) something is sent to and received from mail.yimg.com.

Unfortunately, while that did speed up the mail experience, it also killed it after a reboot to play STALKER in XP for a while.
