DirectX 9.0c (August 09) Out

The new DX9 is out I downloaded it yesterday and its running fine over the old March 09 version

Self Installer here (thou it says march 08 the date says 11.9.09)

Interesting, I didn't know they continued to update older versions of DirectX. I see Vista is listed as a supported OS. Is DirectX 10 not a super-set of DirectX 9?

Nope. Win7 is listed as a supported OS too

Hmmm... I don't think I want this on my nice sparkling new Win7 pro RTM installation.

Oh yeah, I missed Windows 7. They didn't list out all the different versions like they did for the other OS's. Thanks for the heads up on the failed install, I will not be installing this in Win 7 when I get home.

Notice the December 2006 date on that SDK update file that was downloading.

I'd hope that if this is important, it would come down as a recommended update for Win7 from Microsoft anyway.
