Mini pcie to pata.

OK guys i have an extra mini pcie ssd out of my dell mini 9. it uses the pata interface. Now im going to be getting some thin clients from my gfs business for free. i dunno if they have any storage space, but this lil 4gb ssd would be perfect.

ONLY prob is its mini pcie. I need some type of conveter board that goes from mini pcie female slot to anything else.... CF, 1.8in hd, ZIF, 2.5in 3.5in pata... anything becides mini pcie. The mini pcie connector is just a connector it actually is the same pinout as pata which makes it easy (no converter chips needed) but i havnt been able to find any lil converter board with a female mini pcie socket to something else.

I've never even heard of such a thing, i suspect you'll have to loot a mini-pcie connector from something and do some rather tedious soldering.

mini pci and pcie pinout varies with vendor so there'd be quite a few different versions of ssd pcie. Plus afaik early pcie ssd are slow compared to today's version.

mini pcie has the same pinout... you have pata mini pcie, and sata mini pcie... all with usb lines in them.
