What do you guys think of this?

Looks pretty sweet. Granted they only mention Windows, but I would guess taht a faster BIOS would help in booting any OS much much faster.

I assume that means they just don't bother to wait for all the checks and reponses from the subsystems. That's fine, unless something is wrong of course, then its not so fine.

I never turn mine off, so boot speed is almost unimportant.

I do...I have wayy to many electronics in my room to have the PC powered on all the time..

very interesting i know on my main rig the post processes and raid stuff takes up a good 3/4 of the actual boot time.

I went and bought Raptors to help decrease my boot times and games loading.But the VelociRaptors didnt even knock 3 seconds off my boot times.Comes out to about $100 a second..lol.Guess ill need to go SSD!!!!Which newegg has on sale right now

This looks most useful for laptops. Shutting down the computer's old school, and sleep's where it's at now. That's not as practical with laptops, and I think they could really benefit from this.
