water block saved!

I had an old 7900GT with a danger den water block

I purchased a new GTS 250 and put the old water block onto it.

If fits perfectly so anyone who wants to upgrade from 7900GT but wants to keep their old water bock a GTS 250 is probably the best way to go.

Click the image to open in full size.

I have now put the cooler from the GTS 250 onto my old 7900GT so I have found the coolers can be inter cahnged.

In the pic you can see the water block is on the GTS 250 because it has the dual SLI bit at the top of the card.

The GTX250 has a G92 core, which has the same mounting holes as the older 7900 series.

Does that full coverage block hit all the areas that are needed on the card?

Be careful , although it fits , full cover blocks are made for specific cards down to smallest details , something sticking out at the wrong place can cause a short .
