It kind of boils down to what your budget is. If you need to include your SLI setup due to cost, then, this should work out fine for you.

On the other hand, if you have some extra cash to play with, I'd definitely suggest getting an AMD chipset board and an ATI GPU or two.

If you're not worried about having multiple x16 PCI-E lanes, then the 790GX is a pretty solid chipset.

Otherwise this guy here will run x16/x16, or x16/x8/x8.

As far as GPUs go, I like XFX. But that's me. You could either do a 4890, a 4870, or a 4850 and still be able to play EVE fine (depending on resolution and eye candy). I'd suggest either a 4890 or a 4870, or if you've got the cash, and they come back into stock, the 5870 is currently waffle stomping everything outside of dual-GPU setups (and even then sometimes wins out due to scalability). Kind of looks like the 5850 might be out, too. Haven't seen any information on these yet, but I'll include it anyways.

4850 - $124.99

Like I said, I'm kind of partial to XFX. Other people may have other suggestions. :) If you have a budget in mind, let us know. We should be able to find you the best bang for your buck if you're still not decided on anything. :)

humm well i was going to try to stay around 300 bucks for a mobo and ram...

i'm not sure if it would be worth the difference to upgrade to a single larger ati card or not at this point ?
