I'm new to the whole build-your-own-pc thing so I'm looking for some guidance on the system I put together using newegg. Here's what I got:

(using item numbers)
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD
#N82E16813128392

Memory: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit
#N82E16820231189

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
#N82E16822136218

CD Drive/Burner: Sony Optiarc 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Black SATA
#N82E16827118030

Power Supply: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready
#N82E16817152028

Case: Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
#N82E16811129021

(Low Price but powerful is my intention :) these all price out to around $750-ish, I didnt list the price of the monitor, keyboard, and mouse)

My goal is to build a Gaming PC, I'm not looking for a monster, just something that can play most games (FPS, MMOs, etc) lag free, and close to max settings at least.

done. i was sorta in a rush in posting XD. I took a look at the setup above and I think I need a network card o_O...whats about average price for a 'good' card?

As for suggestions, I recommend another motherboard, the one you choose does not have heatsinks for the mosfets and that is a recipe for overheating if you overclock.

Good choices on the ram and cpu, burner looks good.

I recommend switching the harddrive to a western digital black, only a few bucks more than the blue but much better performance.

The PSU, I recommend going with Corsair or Antec brand. The PSU is a key component and you want a quality one.

If you dont mind the looks try the Antec 902, better cable managment and dust filters on the fans.

Since the computer is for gaming, if you can afford it I would get the geforce 260 core 216 for around $150 or under, much better performance than the 9800 you listed.
