making the switch

from my 720 black edition @ 3.6ghz on msi gd70 mobo

to i5-750 , with MSI P55-GD65 motherboard, and this for RAM :

What do you guys think of the intel stuff i've picked?

If i swap out my mobo/cpu/ram - Will I need to reinstall Win7rc?

Best principle is to reinstall your OS yes.

Should be a nice performance boost for low res gaming or 2d applications. Newegg link is no good, with tight timings/high speed DDR3 (at least 1600 MHz 7-7-7) you will have a nice snappy desktop experience like you should with your AMD setup. The core "i" chips have really nice low latency setups. Makes GP usage feel very nice.

(I am running my AMD 920 at stock with CnQ enabled and it still feels pretty nice, RAM is tweaked and NB is OCed though)
