I am looking for a motherboard AM2+/AM3 (DDR2) to complement an upgrade using the new X4 620.

Anybody think that this ECS board is ok?

I know ECS has a poor history, but is it time to put it aside yet?
I don't know if I should take the reviews with a grain of salt or not.

Any thoughts?

Any other recommendations for a cheap board?

A number of reviews on that ECS board said the board itself was fairly good, but that the BIOS was lacking settings for overclocking.

IMPORTANT!!!!! Make sure the HT-Ref clock will go to at least 300 if you want to get anywhere close to 4. You may have to play with different BIOS revs to get what you want.

Well he doesn't even know how to overclock, so I was just planning to give it a boost to whatever it will hit with stock voltage and leave it there for a while. I mean he knows the basics on how to overclock, but nothing more than that. He wouldn't know how to reset the CMOS for instance.
