I don't know much about ssdd so bare with me ;)
I'd like to raid 2 intel x25 m 80g no trim I know
what kind of writes can I expect ?
Is it better? I'm changing from spinpoint f1
can I use acronis home true image software on it?
I plan to image my raided ssds so that way when the drive needs to be
tuned up I can just reside the image
or does SSS not work like that ?
Thanks

Sequential writes, about the same (possibly a little better) than a good mechanical drive. Random writes and seek times, incredible performance (which is where SSDs really shine).

Absolutely. The $/GB ratio is still pretty high, but the performance is excellent.

As far as I know, you can treat a SSD as you would a mechanical drive. The only difference being that defragmenting isn't needed on the SSD.

It would work, but you would need to make sure the drive is completely erased before restoring the image. A better solution can be found here.
