Help i need more points!!!!

i just built a new machine and i can use it to fold until X-mas but the smp is cooperating with me please help! here is a pic it seems to not like the password

The password can't have any alt+ chars in it I do know that much. What os? Also if this is on Vista or 7 make sure you haven't installed into the program files or documents and settings. Did you run this as an elevated command prompt?

Also want to make sure that the firewall is disabled. It may be blocking access to those ports.

i'll check the fire wall and this is on a new install of 7 home premium.

If you're serious about wanting more points, quit messing with the Win SMP client and install a VM/Linux SMP client. Almost twice the points per day.

I would but this is my mother in laws new computer Xmas present and i had a rough time trying to format the drive to install win7 in the first place..... but that a different thread for a different time. I just figured why not put the computer to some good use for the next month.

You were right!!! i guess you have to shut off the fire wall completly.

Well i now have a Q6600 @3.6, AMD Atholon [email protected], and a GTX275 folding away!!! Thanks for the help!!!!
