Yes, that one is E0 steppings aka SLB8V, better than the older C1 steppings SLAWQ.

Is there a better one ? I am going to install 3 heatsinks at a friends office that have Q9550's and he does not care if I swap mine out. Just really do not know what I should be looking for.

As far as the q9550s go I think there isn't anything better than E0 stepping.

If your interested, that's all about said CPU.

So no, there isn't a better q9550 than that (unless it's broken =D)

You never know with the chip until you give it a run. E0 is the preferred stepping, but no overclock is guaranteed. Good luck!
