Logitech Mice and windows 7

I just starting to have a very strange skipping problem with windows 7, and my G7 Laser mouse. I switched it to many different USB ports...still the same problem!

However, when I switch to my older Mx700 it works fine... no skipping.

But this just started happening, and frankly I'm rather ticked off. I love(d) my G7!

Can anyone shed some light on the problem?

Pop in a Linux live CD to make sure it's not the mouse itself.

It could be the mouse try blowing on the laser and see if that helps I have a G5 and windows 7 and have had no problems with it

I have a Logitech G9 and no problems here with windows 7 64bit.

G5 W7 x64, no issues here.

* Try it in a different PC.
* Uninstall and Reinstall drivers, or get new ones
* Try it on a different OS (though its not the OS as it worked before)

Ya know, basic troubleshooting methods any computer guy should use!

It could be a wireless mouse problem, several of my friends with wireless mice have a similar issue.

WOW! Same here, my Mx700 works fine too under W7..

Its the G7, that's the problem!

I have g5 and I don't have problems or had since i sold my system.

Did you install logitech's driver suite from logtech website?
