(i7 920, OC'd to 3.8ghz @ 21*181, 1.35v at vdroop, C0 Step)
Ok, software is screwy...
I boot, Boot shows 3.8 Ghz, Windows loads up with default Coretemp on my G15 keyboard - It shows 3.8ghz, i open CPU-Z - It shows 3.8Ghz, now lastly, when i open RealTemp temp shows 3.6 at idle with the multiplier jumping around until i load up the processor, I.E. Prime95 (all energy saving stuff is off in bios too) then it reads 3.8Ghz once loaded... Lastly on my Windows 7 "Basic Information Tab" where you see the windows score... it shows 3.67Ghz... and wont budge...
Why is this? let me know if you need Versions of all the monitoring software... i know i have the latest tho... i think.
