Installing Sims 1 on Vista

Hey,
i am in the process of installing all of the sims1's on my computer and at the begining of setup of hot date, it said that the game needs at least 64mb of ram to run properly, and that i have less than that, would you like to install anyway..
Why is this when i have 4gb of ram?
Is it just because its old software on a new o/s?

Sounds to me like a problem with UAC or privileges.

Can it even recognize 4GB of RAM as being available? lol
