Performance-vista vs 7

What kind of gains would i get out of going to 7?

I can't give you hard numbers but I like 7, even better than XP.

My bother HATED Vista, but loves 7. So while performance gains may be minimal, the reductions in headaches are priceless.

The best gains seem to be on lower-end hardware. 7 seems to do the same things faster with less power than Vista.
