How Does TeamViewer Connect?

I just found the software TeamViewer and I think it it's really great. However I do want to know how it connects without me changing my firewall settings or forwarding ports. I can't seem to find any documentation on how it works. Anyone know?

you can download it or just run it as a single instance. I have my buddy in Alaska jump on from time to time to look at stuff I screwed up on my FTP server

works great.

you start the program, give the person the code and then a pw it sets for you....that's it.

it goes through your firewall and router with ease.

Ahh so it uses the port HTTP comes through on and since that's already configured to get past your firewall and AV software there's no extra configuration needed. Thanks!

Yeah teamviewer passes router firewall without problem or additional settings.
