Question Motherboard

Well, as I posted before, my bios is messed up in my comp. Anyway, I need to know the mobo maker to download a bios upgrade for the mobo. If anyone could tell me how to find this out I would appriciate it. Although I did find one way to look, but I cant get the bios id from my comp. Im stuck.....

any input would be helpful

If your BIOS is screwed up then you're up the creek my friend. A BIOS needs to be able to work and load up in order to boot from a disk. You need a new BIOS chip, period. Just email your mobo manufacturer and ask them if you could get one.

Look around on the MB for silk screening of a brand/name.

Also, some bios chips can be recovered using an ISA videocard, then flash.

Or you can get your mobos new bios on a floppy and do it blindly.

Every mobo I've ever had has had at least the manufacturer listed on it... I'd go find the guy you bought it from and tell him he's a moron for not including any manuals or specs with it.
