Don't kmow how soon I will be buying parts(in the process of saving for a house) but I'm looking to build more of a 'power/gaming' system. Nothing too crazy. I'm wanting a red/black theme..Here's some parts I'm looking at:
case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811517008
power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817255051
Video card(s): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102866 (plan on getting 2 of these-may purchase 1 in a few days)
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277
Hard drive(s): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186168
this is the main 'bones' I'm looking at. don't know if I'll get a bluray burner or just a couple of dvd drives.
Will either use my Win7 Ultimate 32-bit or get the 64-bit...
Hopefully somewhere down the road get ar least a 25" lcd(hopefully a 28").
this is just prelimanary. I do think I'm gonna stick with the 4860(s) though and the mobo and memory unless someone thinks otherwise..

Hate to break it to ya, but without a cpu, your rig won't run so fast :)

I would also swap out that PSU for something a little more reliable. Maybe a Corsair unit or a Seasonic or Antec or Silverstone or something that is not Dynapower.

I second the recommendation for better PSU. Heres a case alternative for your red/black theme. Also were you trying to link another hard drive? because you linked the memory twice.

Sorry about that the smaller hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152096
hasn't decided on a proc yet, but that should be easier. This whole thing probably won't get done for a couple of months, and by then , everything may change, but I plan on getting at least 1 4860 by the end of next week...anything really 'wrong' with the psu, besides being a 'no name' ...Whats the alternative case-didn't give a link...

Well the name isn't exactly the problem. The problem is the name would probably be bigger if they built good quality PSUs.

Having personally dealt with a questionable psu that kept corrupting my OS, i don't take anymore chances. Since you won't be buying for a while i would just keep an eye out for some deals on the antec true power news or anything from corsair. I bought my true power new 650 for 79 shipped off newegg. Going for 130 right now. Are you planning on going crossfire? 850 is a ton of power, i can see the system maybe using 400 watts loaded. Also what's the smaller samsung f1 for?.

OS and games-unless the 1 huge drive is fine...planned on buying 2 4860's and each 1 has 2-6 pin power connectors...Phasezero- what was your case alternative suggestion??
