some bad news..I blew a rear 285, now worky no more..RMA
anywho im back in the thick again today lol
FOLD ON

first off, 4.3 is  nice work with the overclock and temps!

What kind of PPD is it getting? I can't tell from frame times :)

What broke on the 285, any ideas? was it folding 24.7?

Cheers, Mac! :comp:

hmmm...
not so impressed :(
TPF 34
thats vista 64, vm -smp 8 -bigadv, and two Gpu's folding
hmmmmm; maybe try lowering the vtt to +200, and raise the Vcore a little......
on the 285 dont know just said to heck with it

I want to get stable enough to fold 24/7 at 4.0-4.4ish, but don't want to take the downtime to figure it out :D I should get a better cooler for my buddies pc and get his stable at 4.2-4.4(prime stable for 2 days, and then a bunch of memtests)..same board, cpu, and ram that I do(cept 6gb not 6gb) I know all parts are different but it would get me closer, and i wouldn't have to miss out on ppd's while I'm testing the clocks :D

Nice OC GeneralMac,

Great to see you back too, thought might have to put you on the Lost-n-Found list,
Welcome back bro!

Heck, if you need another cooler for that 965... i have CoolerMaster V10 i am thinking about selling (havent made up my mind if i am getting another i7 rig)... it worked well with my i7 920 (C0/C1) on the mobo in my sig... OC'd to 3.8 and the P95(Blend) 24hr load max temp was 72C on core 1.

I returned to my 4.3 today and deceided to take the waterblock off the 285
and get the origonal stuff put back on.
well first off I'll return it in the condition it came in so i took some alcohol and started cleaning all the gunk off and replaced gpu with some ocz freeze (I know what a waste) put the cover on and hooked the fan on..the cover still has the plastic on it...Prettyyyy. anywho I thought hmmm sure does look nice and my points are taken a hit...I wounder so I plugged it in (in a different pci-e slot) BOOM she fired up and I started the gpu client.
what luck!
now was it the pci-e slot or ....boogieman

@Norcalsteve, thanks for the offer, but im waiting on the HTPC case then I either get that h50 @ best buy or modify a small waterloop.
but thanks for offering :)

Man... that is a nice Folding OC. I was wondering what kind of cooler you were running to pull that off with those temps, but now I see it's water and that's just not my thing. :(

Keep it rockin' GM!!!

Well, I changed things around yesterday. Finaly got a bios update that actually works, so adjusted my O/C
205x21 4.293Ghz, 2:10/9-9-9-24-74 @ 2044Mhz
took the fan cooled 285 put it on the HTPC w/250

all this depends on the gpu project of course (the 353 effects my TPF the most)
