Well went to go run 3d05 on the Ultra and the driver crashed...
But now there are artifacts everywhere and it BSOD's...

might take the hsf off and see what it looks like under there as far as TIM goes.

crap

bsod says something about restarting the driver and nvlddmkm.sys

think something happened with the driver.
but the rig bsod's so quick i cant do anything with the driver.

Artifacts might mean the card is toast, but if its just throwing BSODs then hit F8 after post and go into safe mode, if that works reload the drivers and see what happens.

Bake it, seriously. Big ol thread about baking graphics cards here, but I've had it work for a motherboard myself.

Anyone have any thermal pads? Or tape? I remember when i first got the card there were no thermal pads on the card just thick paste. Whats the best way to clean the card?

Q-tips and rubbing alcohol (91%)

I think I might have some of the pads for the memory. I'll look around and see if I still have them, if not you can order some from arctic cooling for something like $2-3.

Well I booted in safe mode.
Uninstalled drivers and tried to re install but keep getting an error...

Ok so I uninstalled, rebooted normally.
Boots fine. Windows looks fine, no artifacts.
Windows auto loads the driver and says I need to restart.
Then I get artifacts and BSOD about nvlddmkm.sys

EDIT:
Any idea how thick the original thermal pads are?
