Ok, so my friends have always complained of the annoying whistling noise that my mic makes when im on skype, however I have used the same mic on my xbox 360 and mac, where this problem did not arise, my mic is a plantronics 367, and is a great mic IMO, so does anyone have any ideas? my sound drivers are up to date, however my front two audio ports on my case do not work, not sure if this is linked.

Ok, I narrowed it down to being when I have something in the green port at the back, it whistles, when I don't, it is fine, so I either need to get my front two ports working, or buy a soundcard, and I really want those front two ports to work :/
