Thats a good deal, essentially the mobo is free. The i3 can be bought at micro center for $99 any day of the week.

Yeah, too busy putting it together and forgot to post it :)
It's up and running but too bad no time for ocing it untill I get back from vacation...Las Vegas here I come.
I'm a sucker for this kind of lost leader sale. :)

There are two Fry's here in Phoenix. I have paypal and a paypal CC. PM me if you need one

HardOCP forum says out in atlanta, will check today in Phoenix

Update: Checking the Fry's website only the Duluth store is out of i3-540's Milton still has them although the webchecker is not all that reliable

Assume they're all sold out by now, I hate not living near a Frys

Wish there was a Fry's on the East Coast.... or Micro center for that matter.

There's a microcenter in Boston. 3-4 hour drive for me, but I've been there a number of times and have spent my fair share of money there. For B&M it's a geek's paradise. Otherwise Newegg owns.

is this mobo any good and does it have any obvious limitations?

i've been away from the new trends for a while, looking to put a new machine now again. budget is tight, but i do want a very notable difference from my current old crap: Opty 165 on NF4 Ultra-D. i'm also gonna be doing HD video editing.

edit: is this a much better choice?: http://www.frys.com/product/6222150
