You're going to pay extra for SataIII, and it's not going to give you any benefit over a SataII drive. The 1000FALS 1TB Black or the 640GB Black is your best bet for a single fast HDD with a large amount of storage available.

try the 640 gig version

the 640 gig version is great and also has 64 mb of cache. i have 4 and love them.

also samsung f3 1 gig drives are really really nice. better than 1 gig sata2 wd blacks.

I am in a similar dilemma, I have the P6X58D and would love to utilize sata 3. I have a samsung spinpoint F3 in my other comp and a WD 1TB 32mb and the Samsung is def faster. If you pick up two F3's and pop them in RAID 0 you will have awesome speed. I think I am going to pickup that crucial SSD 256gb c300 but its also like 680 bucks (eek!).

That's a good review, thanks! I can pick one of these newer WD blacks up for $99 in Montreal. I think I'll go for it.

I would look into the WD10EALS. They are new, but pretty fast.
