So my conjecture is invalidated because I misquoted one person? If we suggest mechanical keyboards because bottoming out on membranes can cause RSI, wouldn't constantly doing it at 300APM have a similar effect?

Common sense says I'm right. The only thing you have on your side is my refusal to provide evidence to you. But I'm done arguing it.

No i just ask that people back up their claims with evidence, especially whne they are grandiose and generalized across a broad specturm, and when they cannot, i call them on it....

If this were a medical forum and someone said "AMD is way better than Intel right now" i would treat them identically....

Your implication is that you are smarter than me? That experience is failing you right now.

You can get RSI from typing. You are saying that spamming can't produce it? Good job. You win an internet.

I'm gonna link you to wikipedia now. You can click links right?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repetitive_strain_injury

If you can read, I assume you can, but you never know. Maybe you defer to somebody smarter to read and type for you. Not sure. But anyway, you or whoever is reading this for you should pay close attention to this part:

RSI is believed by many to be caused due to lifestyle without ergonomic care[citation needed], E.g. While working in front of computers, driving, traveling etc. Simple reasons like 'Using a blunt knife for everyday chopping of vegetables', may cause RSI.

Other typical habits that some sources believe lead to RSI:[citation needed]

Reading or doing tasks for extended periods of time while looking down.
Sleeping on an inadequate bed/mattress or sitting in a bad armchair and/or in an uncomfortable position.
Carrying heavy items.
Holding one's phone between neck and shoulder.
Watching TV in incorrect position e.g. Too much to the left/right.
Sleeping with head forward, while traveling.
Prolonged use of the hands, wrists, back, neck, etc.
Sitting in the same position for a long period of time.

PS, you talk about people smarter than you and in your **** talk, you failed to run a spell check. GG, scrub. I guess you felt you needed to defer to me to do your research for you? KK, I can handle that. ♥

For clarification, a CRAP ton of players use crap membrane keyboards, so ANY kind of spamming will cause RSI for them. It's about the same as using a blunt knife to cut a carrot.

This discussion is getting out of hand. Keep it civil.

If you want to have a separate thread to discuss the benefits of ergonomics feel free, but I feel that the attacks and the discussion (while somewhat related to SC2) isn't entirely related directly to only this discussion here.

I can see reasoning from both, overall I have to agree that RSI is indeed very possible from any person that sits at a computer for a long period of time, especially one that is constantly hitting keys in a repetitive way (ala most pro SC2 players). With that said, I agree with Ben in that a lot of RSI injuries can be prevented by using proper stretching and ergonomics.

Here is one of the more (I'll say more so that we don't get into another argument) commonly used keyboards for professional starcraft players.

Glad to see they are adding this.

You’ll Be Able To Recover Crashed Games In The Next StarCraft II Expansion
Say your StarCraft II match ends prematurely, either by crash or lightning strike or murder or whatever. Right now, your only option is to suck it up and start a new game. But when Blizzard releases the expansion pack Heart of the Swarm, you'll be able to recover a crashed match by loading up the replay and jumping back in.

Might be interesting to see how this helps tournaments. I'm excited, mainly because starcraft is life for me.

it is a while since I played the drill level but I just remember spamming out siege tanks and marines like madness. just use the drill for colosus (to kill them before they get to you) as they can shoot and give sight up over the cliffs. If you are struggeling then dont worry about attacking their base, just turtle up

Probably November/December.

It looks like reddit/r/starcraft2 has some problems that they've been complaining about for WoL+HoTS

I had played maybe 6-7 missions, so now I sort of have the hang of it so I restarted a new game today. Flew up to 4th mission on hard in no time.

But here's a simple question, I just joined that ship (or star base), and I can choose 1 or the other planet, do I get to attack both?
