Hi there, after just fixing a family members laptop for "Unmountable_Boot_Volume" I restarted and noticed there is a black line on the screen (possibly 1pixel thick) that goes from one side to the other, vertically.

The thing is: When booting up at the "Press F2 for Bios / F12 to Boot on network" screen - there is no black line.

Then then at the Welcome Screen for XP it isn't there. But when it gets to desktop, boom, it's there.

I've tried changing theme, changing desktop background, it's still there.

Any suggestions?

Change/reinstall GPU drivers...otherwise I would imagine the onbaord video is crapping out....

I installed the Wifi, LAN and GPU drivers, restarted and it was gone. Thanks :)
