I would like an ATI card that isn't outrageously expensive like the 5970($700+), 5870($400+), and 5850($300+), but will outperform my Nvidia GTS 250 by a decent margin. As future proof as possible, and perhaps leaving me the option for XFire.(I hope this isn't asking too much, I can't find the right card myself personally or else I wouldn't be asking) My next build will be with Bulldozer in mind so that is why I'm leaning towards ATI. But I want the card now because I am playing BFBC2 and SC2(I got invited for Beta) and my GTS 250 isn't cutting it at the highest quality levels :(.

Thank you.

HD5770, their nVidia equivalent would prolly be the GTX 260. And HD5770 Xfire is really good, they trade blows with the HD5870.

5770 for 160ish, or look for a used 4870 (comparable speed to 5770) or 4890 (faster) for 110ish (4870) or 140ish (4890). The used 110ith 4870 is the best bang/buck at the moment IMO.

No dx11 though.

I would recommend getting a 4890. My friend has one in his rig and is able to max out most games that he plays.

get a 4870 but depending on your psu you'll probably have to upgrade if you wanna xfire.

Now if you wanna xfire, 5770 is the way to go.
As someone stated already, 5770+5770 is basically a 5870.
