Hello.
MY PC is:
Acer Aspire T135 equipped by "K8VM800MAE" motherboard.
The BIOS is AWARD and the SystemBIOS id is R01-A3.

The problem is that the BIOS can't detect the SATA hard drive.
What I should do to make my Hard drive detected.

Thanks

Is this a new HDD? Did this just start happening? Have you tried a different Power connector or cable?

You need to know that its not a power issue or a cable issue.

You might also want to update your bios if your not at the latest.

Thanks.
It's a new HDD ans the cables are OK.

I tried to put SARA Raid controller with pressing F6 when installing Windows XP but nothing changed.
I am looking to update the BIOS. But I am not sure about the correct version. I went to the Acer site in this page

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html

and I downloaded the BIOS but I am not sure that is the correct BIOS update.
Can you tell me how I can be sure for that?

Thanks

Make of HDD? I have been hearing of a firmware bug that causes this with the Barracuda 7200.11s.

I just had this happen to my Asus M2N-SLI. It just stopped recognizing ANY SATA drives. I first though my HD's died, but BOTH at the same time? Highly inprobable, and my SATA optical drive should still be recognized.

I'm requesting an RMA as I write this. Thank goodness you get three years with Asus.
