If I am not mistaken, I seem to remember reading somewhere that these new Basiq PSU's are actually lower end Delta builds, which is still better than the older OEM they used to use for their budget PSU's.

I think I was searching on jonnyguru for a review by OklahomaWolf (couldn't find one), but I did see some speculation by users that it was a cheaper Delta. *shrug*

For $30, sure why not. I figure others must have had my thinking too, cause it's sold out now.

Its good unit. I bought one about 2 years ago and it was able to cope with a Q6600 and 8800GTS (G92) card no problem. I would not run CF or SLI unless they were mid range cards. Running today in my G/F rig with a PII x4 and 9600GSO

I believe the BP550 is a Fortron built unit.
