ASuS CHIII Formula no digital out analog in

Using TOSLINK cable for sound wnated to hookup my webcam which uses an analog port... no sound and options for recording devices in other apps are greyed out.

I freekin hate Creative...

Do I just need to get me a realtek device? Works fine on my gigabyte board... with a realtek controller when I plug something in it asks what it is... nothing with this Xfi crap...(no EAX either though I have EAX soud effects options.... WTF!!)

Or is this a windows Mojave issue? (7)

Thanks.

There must be some kind of control panel software?

Anyway when I've had line-in devices on dedicated ports (not configurable like RealTek) you usally have to select it as the recording device or input device somehow. Try right-clicking on the volume icon in the taskbar and then go to recording devices...that's the Windows control panel for it but it should sync with the driver software control panel.
