E8500 OC - performance gain?

hello, i'm new here.

here is my configuration:

Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G
C2D E8500 (revision C0, stepping 6) + Scythe Mugen 2
4GB (2x2GB Dual Channel) DDRII 800mHz OCZ Gold (5-5-5-18)
Gainward HD4850 512MB DDR3

if i reach, let's say, 4gHz, what would be the approximate performance in games?

That will depend on the game you are playing the Rez you are playing @ , and "IF" you ram can make it to the speed you need .

Some games it will make a big difference ( source based games for sure )
