Saw this on overclock.net, thought it was a great comparison so I'm posting it here:

Results were pretty interesting, for me the winning fan out of all this was the San Ace 9S1212L401, 19.5 db and 55.5 degrees on a 4ghz i7-860. Surprisingly enough, this was a 120x25mm fan. GT-1450 was really close to this an as well. Kind of strange, the low speed yate fan with LED's did better than the regular black one, even with a higher rpm it was quieter and cooled a little better.
