windows remote desktop connection and remote assistance

I am using windows 7 - home premium

If I connect to a remote computer using RDP, I can all the features of remote computer. Likewise if someone connects to my computer from a remote computer using RDP, he has access to all programs on my computer. This person can assist me with any help I need by connecting remotely using RDP.

Same assistance can be provided using Remote Assistance, then whats the need of Remote Assistance when RDP provides required functionality ? What different does Remote Asistance do from RDP ?

Pls reply here rather than pointing to link.

Thanks

if im not mistaken remote assistance allows the remote person AND person at the computer to interact with the computer at once.

A quick google search provided this

rdp = they log in as you and remotely do whatever. you cannot see what they're doing bc youre screen will be locked.
remote assistance = you're logged in as yourself and they can give control of your mouse and chat to you with a chat window.

manishrathi,

Just curious you've asked like 30 "text book" questions both here and in the network section over the past month and you always ask for reply rather than links to good information.

Are you taking a certification class of some sort? Getting other people to do your homework I see...

People who don't want links are too lazy to find them as most people just post answers from links anyways, especially on such information where there really isn't any possible variation in answers people could give which may be better info than someone else gave.
