Mushkin +1

I recently had a set of 996657 ram that crapped out and I contacted Mushkin RMA about it. I emailed one representative and he pointed me in the direction of an Advanced RMA worker so I could keep my current set while they sent me a new set and then I would return.

After a week or so of phone-tag (due to my schedule and not the rep.), I got a hold of him today and it was honestly the easiest RMA via phone ever. I dread phone calls with service reps, but this guy spoke good english (he worked in the U.S.!!!) and he was polite. We got it all worked out and parts are in the mail.

All in all it was very easy and although I can't comment on the products yet (as I have not received them yet), I can say this was very painless. I would definitely suggest Mushkin.

The ram is fine, but the problem keeps occuring. I'm putting in an RMA to Amd for the processor. Anyone had experience with Amd?

Blue screen code 7f. It's been occurring only in Windows though. My original search of that error on the Internet pointed towards Ram issues, but after Rma'ing and getting no results, I am looking towards other things.

I do have one pft for the Mushkin RMA though. They didn't include a return label or even a return shipping address.

Have you tried stock setting with your ram at stock settings just to see if it might be your oveclocking.

I was at stock. But I got it all worked out. Updated the bios from F5 to F8h and it was prime stable (blend test) for 7-8 hours at Cas 8, 1600mhz. I'm super pumped this went so well.

i've been buying mushkin since ddr pc-2100 only once have i gotten a doa stick (wasn't technically dead, just wouldn't run at the advertised speed with the advertised CAS settings) and my rma process was quick and painless. never had any other sticks die on me, so i've been sold for life.

i've thought about corsair a time or two, but i always end up with mushkin sticks in the end haha.

so +1 for mushkin from me

Haha, my first set was a corsair set of XMS2, but they were a cheap alternative when I first put my computer together and when I decided to go AM3 and DDR3, I had heard so many good things about Mushkin I couldn't pass up the 1600 Cas7 I originally got. It didn't like that much though. And this set I have now is actually a little better. Cas 8 @ 1600, but the voltage is 1.65v vs. the old 2.0v on the 996657's.
