ATM I have a 300 gig seagate IDE HD... yea, I know its old and a huge bottleneck but its running like a champ and it is low on the upgrade list at this time.

Newegg does have a 30gig SSD on sale right now for pretty cheap IMO so thinking about ordering it.

2 questions for you guys.

#1. Will those 2 HDD's work with the SSD for OS and maybe a game or two that I play often and the IDE 300gig for storage?

#2. Anyone heard any reviews that should keep me from buying this drive?

I do not need or want to spend the money on a bleeding edge technology drive but I would like to have Windows and the couple of PC games I play load faster.

1. It depends upon your situation. I am almost filling my 60gb Vertex now. If you think you can get all of your stuff on a 30, then by all means spend your money.

2. I have a vertex and it is a champ.

3. How is an IDE hard drive low on the list? You have a pretty dam solid rig...

It was low on the list behind the CPU/MOBO/Memory that I just got. Now its pretty high up on the replace list lol. had to get the other stuff off the list first though :)

Thanks Chance! Pretty happy with it so far minus the SSD Boot drive and SATA drives mentioned earlier. Been working on the case and having a ton of fun with it. Putting a top panel window in and removing the Hard drive cage then gonna paint the case. Got a log of what I have done so far posted here if ya want to take a look. First time I have ever modded a case so its a huge learning experience for me.
