The Sims Video Performance

Does anyone here play the sims?

If so, what card do you use?

Is there a huge lag when you go into town? (Hot Date)

Is there a huge lag when you have lots of people over (House party)

I am asking this cause my bro plays it on his computer and there is a big lag on his voodoo 3. Please reccomend a card to use.

My sister plays Sims. It's a 2d game that does not use 3D acceleration, so it does not matter which card you use. Sims performance is a function of you CPU speed.
I upgraded from Celeron 450 to 900 and saw a big imrovement in Sims. Put in a GeForce2 Ti in place of TNT and saw no improvment at all.

Before I upgraded to XP. I was using a GeForce2 MX400 to play all of them. At no time did I lag.

Actually, it has some 3d functions, but they are very few. CPU speed is the major factor on the game's performance.
