I wanna make it go away. I could care less about power... i have a gaming computer for crying out loud! 2 watts isn't gonna make much different... How do i make it go away? I haven't had the thing in 20 minutes and i already have a Load Cycle Count of 30

(This is in Windows 7)

id suggest downloading hitachi feature tool iso... burning to a cd, boot off the cd, and see if you can turn off AAM and APM... or turn them to max performance.... its very self explanatory once you boot up.

Will that make the head stop parking? I can do that with HD Tune if i need to.

And my super computer is lacking a CD burner :shrug:

umm can you actually set apm and aam in hdtune.... or just aam? cus APM (advanced power management) might actually stop it from doin head parking.

I can set AAM, but there's no option for APM in any of the programs i have :/

EDIT: I found a WD tool for this, but it's DOS based for some stupid reason...? Anyone know of a DOS distro that can boot off of a 16GB USB drive?
