i have an hp p6310f desktop
2.8 ghz quad core
6 gigs ram
1 tera hard drive

i want to overclock it but bios is locked
is their a way to unlock or a software i can use to bypass that

the amd athelon 2 x4 630 has been successfully overclocked to speeds of 3.8 plus i would like ot bumb it to 3.2-3.4

anything you need from me just ask thank you.

The only way to overclock your HP is by using software like SetFSB or ClockGen, as long as either supports the on-board clock generator (PLL). You'll need to locate the PLL, make note of the ID on the chip (for example ICS951412AG), then use the Clock Generator drop-down in the software to select the matching PLL and raise the FSB.
