Hello everyone I just put together a new PC a few days ago

Intel 875k
Asus p7P55D-E Pro
8gb ram
ATI 5850
CPU Cooler Scythe Mugen-2 Rev.B
Case Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced

Ok now my problem I caint overclock very high without the temps going skyhigh at 3343 133.77x25 my temp goes as high as 93C

Room temp is 28C

Anyway Is it my cpu cooler that is not good enough?

Well from reviews that I looked at it should go up to around 70C when OC'd to 3.7MHz at load...no idea why it's so high.

Did you apply the thermal paste correctly?

I would check your mounting with your hand, see if it moves or the temp is lowered if you put pressure on the base, also check the fan speed.:)

I have had 2 of the mugenII's and with both of them, if I rotated them 90 degrees they would run way hotter by about 7 degrees. may be worth a shot, just make sure you have some thermal paste to apply after turning, then if temps go up again turn it back
