hello guys just registered in the forum.
so let's get straight to the point:

i am thinking to move from air cooling to liquid cooling but
i have no experience in such things and so i ask for help.
i want to cool my cpu and gpu. (for start)

my specs are:
case: thermaltake element s
cpu: Intel Core i7 930
ram: g.skill 6x2gb
motherboard: msi x58 pro-e
hdd: western digital 2tb caviar-green
power supply: Corsair HX850W
gpu: XFX ATI HD5850

i am on a budget so bring it to me gently. thanx.

ps: 67c on startup should i be worried? what is that thing?

go ahead and start reading the links in the sticky of the watercooling section. For a cpu and gpu loop under full cover you're looking at about $450 for a no frills solid loop. If you want to do just cpu you could probably do it for $250 with a cheaper pump etc. Once you've done some reading in the sticky, if you're still interested, post in there with a potential parts list so that we can help you out. If you're on stock cooling that's not terrible, but its pretty bad...if wc is out of your budget, I highly recommend aftermarket air.

450 sounds alot.
the highest i can go is 250 euros.
actually i did a small research
and i came up with this:
THERMALTAKE CL-W0186 BIG WATER 780
at 179 euros. but i am worried about
the performance. from what i have read this
type of wc systems don't perform well.

edit:
WOW that's alot of stuff about wc. i didn't
know about most of them and i think i will
stick with aircooling. should i ask here or
open another thread?

open another one...

also, there's a saying in the watercooling community:Friends don't let friends buy thermaltake...so yea...if you wanted to go under water you could probably do your cpu for 250 euros. Otherwise air it is.

a last one is the corsair CWCH50
worth it? i mean does it
really reduce temps?

it performs like an air cooler, it performs worse than the top air coolers, but its up there.

ok thanx i'll do my research and post
in a new thread the possible upgrades.
