i've searched on the net and i found the possible
upgrades to my system (cooling upgrades).

first of all for those of you who don't know, my
case is thermaltake element s. i say this because
the fisrt upgrade will be an extra intake fan at the
front.

second upgrade is the cpus cooling which is now
at stock. i was thinking one of these 3:
THERMALRIGHT HR-01 HEATSINK
THERMALTAKE CL-P0456 BIGTYP PRO14
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED

i'd also like to upgrade the gpu cooling but i
can't really find a unit because i don't know about
gpu cooling.

also for the northbridge:
ENZOTECH CNB-S1
but theres a proble since my
northbridge is connected to smth
else via a heatpipe.

these come from a local shop where
variety is limited so if you have something
better to suggest please do.

top air coolers are the noctua nh-d14, venomous x, TRUE rev 3, and megahalems, the h50 isn't technically air, but it makes my list. You may wanna wait and checkout the h70 which is supposed to come out august 1st (so...probably sometime this/next week, [H] had an unboxing, so it's gotta be soon). If none of those are at your local store, just get a list, the thermalright that they had is not listed as 1366 compatable, the thermaltake looked ok except for the fact that I personally don't like top down coolers, zalman is a good company, but if you go for something in the flower design, go cnps9900, the cnps10x is also a really good cooler, if a bit loud.

i really liked the noctua
but there are 2 issues
1) i'll have to order online (i'll find a way)
2)it's too heavy (1.2kg) it's gonna crack the mobo.

what about the other parts?

It's not too heavy, it uses a backplate and 1000's of people have used it with huge success...the pro-e's a decent board, its not like you went p55, you're on the x58, so all the boards have at least some quality...if you're worried, check this out, no one seems to be reporting any issues with it...

about the other parts, what do you wanna know?

antec spot cool will fix your nb right up...alternatively, just better case airflow, do some cable managment, clean dust out of everything, etc. I don't do aftermarket gpu, sorry. Better case airflow would be my recommendation there to, maybe a fan blowing fresh air on it from the side.

that antec spot cool will be perfect for the gpu
but not that effective on the NB beacause i've
read that a fan for the specific mobo won't do
anything besides cost.
i'd like to change the whole unit which
means either one connected SB-NB COOLER
or two separate coolers.
which is the best way to go? 1 or 2?

edit:
nothing to say about airflow in my case.
there's not a single wire hanging around.
they are all hidden like ninjas.
plus, my system is 1 week old so no
dust at all.

ps: the specific mobo has a general IOH
temp issue.
