Abit TH7-II and P4 - 1.6A

Hey peeps,

I just got the P4 - 1.6A and tried to put it into my ABit TH7-II MB and got the following post code:

Which is:

1. Program CPU internal MTRR (P6 & PII) for 0-640K memory address
2. Initialize the APIC for Pentium Calss CPU
3. Program early chipset according to CMOS setup. Example onboard IDE controller
4. Measure CPU speed
5. Invoke Video BIOS

(Taken from ABit manual)

I cleared my CMOS before inserting the CPU. I put the old CPU back in and its working like a champ. I want to see the 1.6A OC.

Who can help me here?????

Have you flashet to the latest bios? You need version .38 to support the Northwood.
