I really cant find many article on north and south chip cooling. Are they not too importand? Are there any simple solutions?
Thank for all the knowledge that i shall receive :grouphug:

Since AMD and Intel moved the memory controller from the NB motherboard chip onto the CPU die, NB heat isn't usually an issue these days. The main thing the motherboard NB chip does these days is house the integrated graphics controller which, if you are using it for video instead of a dedicated video card (and particularly if you are overclocking it) you might want to get a better NB cooler. The other thing we sometimes see is the NB OEM heatsink is not securely fastened and doesn't make good contact with the chip. Motherboad manufacturers are commonly sloppy about that these days. If that is the case it might give overheating problems and need to be redone.
