2.0mp webcam lags badly

I just bought an Asus N61JQ-JX002V laptop and the webcam is shocking. Not only is the picture quality pretty average it lags pretty bad (doesn't matter if it's on ASUS LifeFrame or Skype.etc). Even if the resolution is on the lowest it still lags. According to http://mailvu.com the FPS is 3.3..
Does anybody know if there is a way I can fix this?

Low FPS is usually related to network speed, not the webcam itself.

Load up MSN messenger and go to the setup for the webcam. If the video is choppy there's something wrong. What's more likely is that the webcam is fine and like MIAHALLEN said it's a network speed issue.
