AGP video card round 2

I have a PowerSpec 8736 that is a Intel Socket 775 2.93ghz P4, 2-512mb PC3200 DDR el-cheapo system with sis chipset 8xAGP. I put a Fortron 350watt PSU in it. Here is a link to the box.

I want to get a AGP video card that matches the performance of the 8736.

I am looking at 4 video cards. PNY Vertro 6800 GT 256mb DDR3. I can get it for 30.00 dollars used.

Next one I am condidering is this PowerColor AG3650 512mb DDR2.

http://www.directron.com/ag3650512md2v3.html

This XFX HD4650

I am trying to get in touch with a guy who has a ATI X850XT card so it might be an option also.

Which card would be the best choice. Really do not have anything in the computer so am going to give it to my neighbor and she will pay for the video card.

Once again I just do not want to spend too much on an out dated computer.

Oh and thanks for the reply's on my AGP thread a coupld of days ago. I got a PNY 6200 128 card and it will play Runes of Magic. But you have to put everything on low or it lags with this box.

Did not even try to put it in the Dimenson 8250.

Thanks for your help.

it would depend on the games you play
the x850xt is a powerful card but lacks sm 3.0 support

the 3650 and 4650 will support the latest games and play them better than the other cards, but their expensive... people sell 8800gt's for 50 bucks nowadays

the 6800gt is in the middle

i say go for which is cheapest

Well I went ahead and bought the PNY Verto 6800GT. It was only 25 duckies. So I will give it a whirl. LOL. From what I understand Runes of Magic is a kiddie game and it runs not so good on the 6200.

I dont know what kind of RAM the game take so I guess I will throw 2gig's in it and see how that affects it.

One thing for sure the 6800GT is going to have to be a bunch better if RAM does not perk the thing up.

I just hate to see her spend 80 bucks on a AGP card unless it will allow it to run some of the better games. Kinda Mickey Mouse compared to even Fallen Earth.

I had grand delusions of finding a used 4650 AGP card.

Then I woke up.

6800 is a great card. I have a few laying around and I bought that XFX 4650 in hopes of having a much more powerful card... but it wasnt. It was almost worse than the 6800 in almost every way. Good choice.
