Buy 980x and rma when 990x comes out.[<--What NOT to do -hokie]

Hi guys im thinking of buying 980x which in my country has 3 years warranty.
After about 1.5 years im thinking to find a solution to burn it and rma it for 990x as he would be the one to replace 980x.
What do u think?Is that possible?
Do u know any ways to kill the cpu without notice that it was done on purpose?
